H.Μ. Queen Anne-Marie celebrated her 80th birthday on Sunday, 30 August 2026.

Pavlos De Grèce congratulated his mother on behalf of the entire family during the family dinner held in her honour, and among other things, said:

“Throughout your life, you have shown us that true strength is quiet; it lies in grace, courage, kindness and your unwavering love for people and the world around you.

You have faced so much over the years, and through every joy and every difficulty, you have remained steadfast, generous and always present.

You loved Greece as your homeland and chose to remain there even after the loss of your beloved Constantine.

You have carried out your duty in life with rare dignity and grace, always putting others before yourself and approaching each new chapter of life with courage and a unique sense of responsibility.

Today, we celebrate not only your remarkable life, but also the remarkable woman you have been — our mother, our constant source of support, our inspiration and the heart of our family.

Happy Birthday, our beloved Mother, and thank you for your presence and love in our lives.”
